Who we are

ASE Associates (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a corporate investigation firm based in Bude, Cornwall. ASE Associates is the trading name of Paul Bevington, a sole trader, who is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at [email protected] or 07774 150660.

Information provided through our enquiry form

Our enquiry form asks for your name, the capacity in which you are enquiring, your preferred contact method and the contact details needed to respond. You may also provide an organisation, a service preference, contact timing or preferences, voicemail permission and a brief outline of your enquiry.

Please do not include sensitive case details, financial account information or information identifying other people in your initial enquiry.

How we use your enquiry information

We use the information you provide to assess and respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, arrange a conversation. Your contact preferences help us determine how to respond. Sending an enquiry does not, by itself, create an instruction for investigative work.

How we process your data

Your enquiry is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and is not stored in a website database. It is emailed to our mailbox through our email delivery provider. Like any website, our hosting and security providers keep technical logs, such as IP addresses and the time of each request, for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest: you are initiating contact to request our professional services.

Data retention

We do not store enquiry data on the website. Data persists in our email inbox and in Resend's delivery logs (subject to their data processing terms).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Contact us at the address above to exercise these rights.

Who processes your data

These organisations process data on our behalf:

  • Orange Jelly, which builds and runs this website and manages the services below for us.
  • Cloudflare, which protects the website and carries all traffic to it.
  • Vercel, which hosts the website. Enquiries sent through the contact form are processed on Vercel servers in the United States.
  • Resend, which delivers enquiry emails to our mailbox.
  • Microsoft, whose Microsoft 365 service hosts our mailbox.
  • Google, for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the UK.
